So this morning has been really lovely BUT as far a Slimming World goes, well, it's out of the window today already! I haven't seen Jim for weeks so he text me late last night - did I fancy a Spoon's brekkie this morning and a good ol' catchup! Of course I said! So, 3 hash browns, 1 veggie sausage, 1 tomato, 1 giant mushroom, 2 eggs, beans, 2 slices of toast WITH butter and a cup of tea later and mmmmmmmmmmmm, that was gooooooooood!
Bah, feck it, my sister gave me a bag of 10p mix sweets she bought last week for her 30th birthday party and as I was too ill to go to it, she saved me them so it's now early afternoon and I'm eating them as well! I can just imagine what my Slimming World teacher is going to say to me when she sees my food diary next week!! Hehehehe
I know I HAVE to start the diet and I will but today was just not the day
So yeah, today is a good day - wanna know why? Here goes:
Lodger knocks on my bedroom door this morning:
*knock knock*
Me: Yeeeeeeeeello!!
Lodger: It's me, can I come in a sec?
Me: Course you can love, what's up?
Lodger: I'm off down town with my mum in a minute, do you want anything?
Me: No thanks hon, I'm going down there myself in a min with Jim. You ok?
Lodger: Yeah, everythings fine ta. Um, Em?
Me: Yeeeeeees?
Lodger: Are you gonna be home on Sunday?
Me: Um, I'm not sure yet, why?
Lodger: Well, because I was hoping to see you on Sunday.
Me: Oh right, why? What for? Do you need to speak to me about something? Why do we have to wait til Sunday?
Lodger: Because it's Mother's Day and I want to see you that day.
*wipes a tear from my eye*
Me: Awwww, sweetheart, that's lovely. I'll make sure I'm home at some point to see you
After that, nothing can hurt me today
On another note, here is the letter I have typed and will give to the taxi office when I go in there later on today. I've spoilered it because it is ridiculously long. I'm proud of it however and really hope that this'll stop them from thinking they can get rid of me that easily. Let me know what you think (if you can be arsed!)

FAO: Streamline Taxis
Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: Letter of Grievance
Further to my letter dated 15th August 2008 (letter attached for your convenience), I am writing again to formally request the information originally requested; I never did receive a formal response from Streamline Taxis. I would also ask that you confirm any conversations you have had with Mr. Francis and any action taken as he is still harassing me over the telephone on a regular basis (i.e. most weeks) which I continually report in the staff folder. I know this was discussed in my meeting on Monday 9th March with Ms. Attwood and Mr. Christian and I was asked to keep calm when speaking to Mr. Francis, which I have agreed to do. However I have also been advised in the past to simply put the phone down when he rings and refuse to speak to him please confirm in writing exactly how the committee suggests I deal with this problem and also confirm how Streamline Taxis as a company intends on dealing with Mr. Francis and any other abusive drivers; I have felt threatened and intimidated by Mr. Francis a number of times and each time it has been raised (to Mr. Pritchard and Ms. Attwood, and more recently Mr. Christian).
I also have a number of other issues that I would like to raise as follows:
Contract of Employment
Since the commencement of my employment for Streamline Taxis I have been asking for a contract of employment. I was recently informed by Ms. Attwood that there is a disagreement over staff Contracts of Employment and therefore they are currently unavailable to staff. As per The Employment Rights Act 1996, employers are obliged to give employees a written statement of particulars of employment no later than 2 months after the beginning of employment. If this information had been provided within that timescale, disciplinary and grievance procedures would be available to staff and most of the recent problems Ive been experiencing would never have arisen. It is critically important for staff to be aware of and understand company policy in order to act accordingly i.e. the recent problem I encountered when taking annual leave. As you know I took Friday 27th February off using my annual leave allowance (having already arranged cover with a colleague). I was then not paid for that shift and only when I queried it twice was it confirmed by Ms. Attwood that staff are to give management 72 hours notice in writing. As discussed in my meeting with Ms. Attwood and Mr. Christian on Monday 9th March, this is not a rule that I have ever been made aware of and subsequent to that meeting I was apologised to by Ms. Attwood and repaid the missing holiday pay; a note was then installed on the staff notice board that the 72 hours notice exists.
Pay
Please can you confirm that all employees are on the same hourly rate (with the exception of overnight staff) as I believe that some members of staff are being paid 6.00 per hour when others are being paid just 5.73 per hour. Whilst I understand that staff members who work on a Friday and Saturday evening shift are
