Yeah, I know, I know, I've been shit at updating my blog lately. Now I'm a bit happier with life I guess I don't feel the need to blog quite so much. Having said that, I don't want my blog to be only when I'm having a rough time with the depression; I'll have no SG friends left if I'm constantly moaning!! I will try and make more of an effort to put a few things on here more regularly
So what's been happening? Not a great deal really; except I seem to be cracking the whole laziness thing in as much as I now have a daily schedule which I am able to stick to (for the time being at least!) - because I'm struggling to get up, I'm giving myself a bit of a break on that one. I work 4 or 5 nights a week til midnight so I'm not getting to sleep until 1 ish so really, it's only right that I should need to stay in bed til 9am ish! So, the plan now is to get up at 8.30am at the latest, then do a few chores in the house or go shopping or whatever it is that needs doing in the morning, then go to my office for 12pm and then stay at my office until 6 then either go home for the evening or go straight to the taxi office (which is on the next floor down from my office) and work in there for the evening. No going home in between etc., once I'm in my office, I stay there!! So far, it's working really well and I'm getting a lot more work done so its a winner!
Tessie had her latest Fructosamine blood tests yesterday so fingers crossed, it'll be good news in the next couple of days; I'm even more convinced now that last week's shenanigans were indeed a blip but I'll let you guys know when I get the results
My Nanny is good too; I went to see her on Sunday and she's great again. They're now assessing her at the hospital every 3 weeks rather than 4 so hopefully she won't get that bad again but we'll see. She's 87 years old; we have to expect some deterioration I guess But for now she's good so I'm happy!
My baby bro got home from Iraq on Friday and as far as I know he's ok. He's back with his girlfriend and spending all his time with her so all is well Nanny is paying for the entire family to go for a nice lunch at a pub up the road from her on Sunday so I look forward to that. I will make sure I sit next to Sonny Sausage and try and teach him how to blow raspberries again - he just won't do it for me as much as I try! However he did say Emma on Saturday so I'm a very proud Auntie right now!!
What else? Oh yeah, work is going well. From having no jobs waiting on Friday and wondering how the hell I was going to pay the taxman, I got 3 orders in yesterday worth a good few quid and I'm hoping another order will be here this week so yet again, at the point of our last breath, we are saved again!
Not so good news from Guy I'm afraid. He started his pre-radiotherapy-treatment yesterday and he emailed me quite late last night saying it had been a really difficult day and he was wiped out. Also, his wife's father died on Sunday night so she's going to be up in Newcastle with her family for the next couple of weeks so Guy is having to cope with this all on his own. I'm pretty concerned about him but I'm about a 4-hour drive away from him. Anyway, he's a strong character and very independent. He'd be mortified if I turned up on the doorstep! He emails me and talks to me all the time so at least I can comfort him that way. The best thing I can do to keep him happy is look after the business and the pigeons so that's what I will continue to do
I'm gonna get off now if you don't mind peeps - I really need to get some bloody word done after my site visit this morning. The sooner I get my report done, the sooner I get paid - woohoo!
Oh and if any of you are on Twitter, let me know - Jonathan Ross replied to me this morning, how cool is that?!?!

EDIT @ 16.02 - I've just heard from our friend CurlySue102 (ex-SG member) to say her Dad passed away this morning at 4.41am local time. I'm really gutted about this as I've grown very close to her over the past year or so. I gave her a quick call and she was really glad to hear from me. If any of you have her contact details, I'm sure she'd be pleased to hear from you; she's gonna need a lot of support over the coming hours, days, weeks and months. RIP John Harley Lewis "Dude"
