Golly, I feel terribly disconnected to the SG world. Since coming home, I've spent precious few seconds on here, but, not surprisingly, there is no one really to notice my absence. In any case, it feels strange, and I'm sick of looking at that shit heel Kendell Hogan, so its time for an update.
As some of you may know, in the week before I left Boulder, I went on a massive shopping spree. A new couch (from the thrift store that is), about 25 new DVDs, new snowboard boots, clothes...you get the idea. It has been over a year and a half since I've smoked pot, which I did faithfully for a number of years. It has likewise been months since I have played poker. It seems that my latest compulsive behavior is buying things. Ugh. I changed my mind, I don't want to write about this.
Being home has been swell. I got a digital camera for x-mas, but the pictures, it seems, are too memory rich to upload to SG. Me and the fam saw an awesome Zora Neal Thurston play at the Berkeley Rep and we spent a few quality days in Tahoe where there was some incredible snow. After a 6 year hiatus, and with my snowboard equipment being in Colorado, I decided to rent skis. I guess I expected to be able to ski well, just as I could in the past. This was not the case. After spending some exhausting runs stuck up to my waist in powder, I swapped the sticks for a snowboard and had a blast.
Our house in the mountains is awesome, The weekend we were there was 40 years to the day after my grandfather (who built the place himself) spent his first weekend there. With him gone, the place is managed by my dad and his 6 siblings. Eventually, it will be mine and my cousins, and for this I feel blessed.
New Years was laid back and fun.
Now I'm in bed recovering from getting 4 impacted wisdom teeth pulled...and this entry is losing steam. I miss RoseMarie!!

the bed frame is metal, so dropping it down would be a mighty pain in the butt.
Oh well, this is my last year needing this bed (hopefully)
