I think my knee is all better now. I'm quite tempted to take the stitches out myself, they look ready. I'm also glad to be finished with my antibiotics because they taste like bad barbecue when you swallow them.
Also, I have now watched every DVD in my small collection. The two most recent ones, movies that I was previously sure I would regret buying, turned out to be highly entertaining. Last week, it was Point Break, a benchmark reference for anyone who pegs Keanu Reeves as an airhead. This film was one that I bought with the memory of it being atop my favorites list during middle school days. Nudity, violence...it had all the elements of a winning picture - one that I was only privy to because a certain friend's parents were far looser in what they deemed acceptable for 6th graders. In any case, revisiting the film was awesome. I wanted to include some Keanu and Gary Busey quotes in this post, but there were far too many winners to write down.
Tonight, I watched the Breakfast Club. This one I bought by accident, intending to buy Sixteen Candles. It never even came out of the wrapping until tonight because I had only mediocre memories of seeing it in the past. Loved it. Molly Ringwald (hottie) has a great little dance sequence and Emilio Estevez (sp) is soooo cheesy, its just great.
ps. thanks to Emilio, I now have the most kickass name/diss for people. its better than bozo and better than cheesedick (picked up from Tommeh), believe it or not. just get on my bad side and I'll have to unleash it.
pps. since I was able to stay up until 6am, I called a bank on the eastcoast, verified information, and now my new computer will be shipped today! I've never been more excited for such a big mistake. check it
