Well, the election happened. The world didn't end and I'm sure that Obama will still be president in the morning (even though every ballot hasn't been counted yet). The bigger victory here is what we have seen happen with the ballot initiatives throughout the country. First, let's talk marijuana. All I have to say is GOOD FUCKING JOB to Washington and Colorado for legalizing recreation use! Hopefully this will start a trend in the same way that medical marijuana has and show states that are working toward and implementing decriminalization tactics the light. Congrats to Massachusetts for voting in favor of medical marijuana. Now, while I feel a deep sadness in my heart for the defeat of medical marijuana in Arkansas. However, I am proud to see a southern state taking a step toward legalization with it being on the ballot!
Another win is visible on the gay marriage front! With Maine and Maryland bringing in even more places for some of my best friends to get married, I can't help but celebrate! Washington is looking like a victory as well! Hell, it's just a good day to live in Washington.
One more issue that really hit home with me is on the California ballot with the requirement that genetically modified food be noted as such. With only part of California's votes counted, the initiative is failing. We live in a country that will legalize marijuana and same sex marriage (in some states), but not labels that tell you if the food you are eating is genetically modified. California is also failing to repeal the death penalty, while I'm listing things that are pissing me off tonight.
Well, America, I agree with your choice for president. Maybe my uterus will be safe for another few years or so.

I'm pretty happy myself with the election but fuck I never see the south legalizing my beloved Mary Jay anytime soon! For fuck sakes we still can't even get the lottery here in Bama!

You should check out the reactions by Fox News and Ted Nugent. They were NOT happy. I, for one, am.
