Hello Hello Hello...!
SO...as you can see this is my first blog post! I honestly should be blogging on more of regular basis but sometimes, I just don't have anything to say, lmao! I tried journaling at home, then my hand got tired...then I tried a "online" journal and that just didn't satisfy my need to just "get it all out". In the future you'll see a VARIETY of blogs! Happy, sad, nsfw, family related, travels, mindless ramblings, insomnia thoughts, polls and whatever else I'd like to share... I mean, that is the point of a blog right?! For it to be whatever you want!
Anyways, recently I went on my first trip to the beautiful, iconic Las Vegas, Nevada! I figured this would be a good first blog, so lets jump right into it!
If you don't know already, I am a Midwest based model...specifically Ohio. I started nude modeling right out of HS in 2006, when Suicide Girls were really catching the attention to every scene girl with a sexy edge. I wanted so badly to be a SG but felt like I just didn't have what it took to become and elite nude alternative model. With that thought also came, "I'll never make it out West...", which is also where I thought you HAD to be in order to "make it".
Fast forward 15yrs, hundreds of photoshoots, dozens of mentors, and several blossoming work relationships later... although I haven't made official Suicide Girl status (Set in MR, go Like it), I DID manage to achieve one of my modeling career goals: Do a nude photoshoot in the desert.
Ok.. Ok... I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but again, shooting out west had been a dream of mine for 15 years now and it finally happened!! But how?! Alright so there is an event called the Las Vegas Cannabis Awards, the other is called Kushstock... I don't believe i need to go into detail about the contents of these shows BUT I bet you're wondering how I became involved? Well the answer is pretty simple, they needed nominee models for their awards...so I applied! Without any intention on being accepted, or even looked at my bank account to see if I could even afford it... I applied. A few days later, I opened my email to the great news and soon found myself on a light and a full itinerary of work!
Day 1: Pool Day! I was dying to get some pool time in! Especially after leaving for the airport at 5am est, and arriving at 12psc! Talk about a time warp! Speaking of time warps, later that day I went to Fremont St and had a blaaaaaast! I didn't want to leave but I was pretty dehydrated and hungry so it was time to call it a day LOL
Day 2: Suicide Girls Day! I scheduled some streaming time AND shooting time with the wonderful @cinderpage! You can expect to see our work going up on our separate OF pages in the coming months! Cinder is such a doll and an absolute sweetheart. It was a pleasure to get to know her and she even showed me some TikTok tricks! I know, I know...I should know how to use it already but it's been an event trying to figure iit out lol. She was also super kind enough to invite me to a luncheon Meet up featuring other SG/SGH's as well! I so badly wanted to go, but my dance card was so full already.
Day 3: Awards Pre-Party! The organizers of the event put together a house party for all the sponsors, models, and volunteers of the event. It was so damn cool. The only problem was, we showed up a hour an a half after it started...and we were STILL too early! We were so tired from all the day events, that went we got to the party I was only able to hang for a while before I was just too tired to stand ( not to mention, I had a photoshoot in the dessert the next morning, and the actual event THAT NIGHT). There was a surprised guest though...Floyd Mayweather Sr. showed up LOL!
Day 4.1: Time for that dreamy desert shoot! I woke up bright and early to avoid the heat and JESUS I"M GLAD I DID. I linked up with a photographer who happened to hail from my neck of the woods, small world! She just fantastic. Chemistry is mega important especially if you are in conditions like these. You want to make sure you can get the shot, and get it fast. For our first time meeting and working together, we hit it out of the fucking park. The whole set is live and uncensored on my page! onlyfans.com/lightninglayne. Keep on the look out for other looks we shot, we had to take advantage of this breathtaking landscape!
Day 4.2: Las Vegas Cannabis Awards! WHAT AN EVENT! Music, comedy, networking, food, drink, and of course... lots and lots of bud. My job was to mingle, take photos, and hand out awards. While I was able to get photos of the first two items, I didn't get any of me actually handing out awards. There were 2 levels, the awards were downstairs and Kushstock was upstairs. So many amazing vendors, great people, and just a hub of positivity. I am so happy I got to be apart of this, and was invited to do it again next year! They also have an Orange County Cannabis Awards ... next time I'll aim for that.
The whole trip was a reminder to me that if I want something, I am fully capable of having it., I just need to go for it. I wanted to work out West, and I did. Booking that week of work lit a fire under my tail because now more than ever, I want to get rid of this 9 - 5 and push harder. This is all I want to do.. meet people, uplift homies, and take bad ass images. But you know what they say, "don't quit your day job"... I did it before... I just have to not be afraid to do it again. For now, I'll need to maintain the balance between work and dreams, at least until I hit official Suicide Girls status. By the way, my debut set is still MR, you can change that! <3
