It has been 2 weeks since I started back to work and I am exhausted as hell. I took a new position in Richmond, so I am driving 1 1/2 hours each way per day. That part isn't too terribly bad at the beginning of the week. But it is a struggle just adjusting to getting up early and not having a nap each day. On the upside, the new job is going pretty well. I've worked for my company for 3 1/2 years, and this is the first promotion that I've gotten...it's a whole different animal compared to what I was doing before, and that change of pace is really nice. Plus, it pays pretty well.
Outside of work, life is tumultuous. My husband isn't adjusting too well to being the one who has to pick the kids up from the babysitter's, cook dinner, etc. Half the time, I am planning to leave him, the other half, I'm convinced that I love him more than anything and life will get better for us. I am not entirely sure if the marriage will last, but I am trying my hardest. I am too stubborn to give up that easily, but man...it is tempting sometimes.
