The countdown to unemployment: 3 days
Me: Have you seen Finding Neverland?
Girl: I dont think so, whats about.
Me: It has Johnny Depp in it. Its about James Barrie and his inspiration for writing Peter Pan.
Girl: What did he write?
Me: Peter Pan
Girl: Oh, no I didnt see that one. I dont like science fiction movies.
Me:
That ladies and gentlemen is the person they hired to take my job.
Soon I shall have lots of free time. The past month and a half Ive been going non stop at work. Im tired. 55-60 hour weeks are killers.
I watched two of my nieces for about 6 hours Sunday. I was happy to go back to work for the break. I love them beyond anything, but a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old are a handful. I have tremendous respect for my sister raising them on her own.
Here are the most common things I said yesterday.
Dont put that in your mouth.
Stop hitting your sister.
Dont put the M&M in your nose.
No, dont put the M&M in your sisters nose.
Stop dumping your juice on your sister.
Are you seeing a pattern?
All went well in the end. They climbed all over me and we watched the Lion King twice. Luckily, I actually like the Lion King. What can I say; they have me wrapped around their sticky little fingers.
No time to say hello goodbye, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late.
