I have been horrible about checking up over here and for that I'm sorry. I've just been really busy and working full-time and all of that, so I can't exactly pop onto the website here from work.
They block SG anyway: I've tried. *cough*
So I finished up the internship with my dad's company, but managed to stay on working doing the same thing since it's kind of an ongoing project. And it pays me!
But then once a week I'm also interning for Amrita Singh down in SoHo. It's non-paying but I sometimes (often) do get bangles and sandals and it's a lot of fun. It's in a great neighborhood: all of my favorite clothing and makeup stores all in one block.
I'm also in love with Kat Von D's new fragrances, especially Sinner. I completely went into the Sephora across from Amrita Singh's building expecting to just sample them and wound up buying the biggest bottle.
Ummmm...so random pictures (admittedly cell phone) from a few things I've been doing in my life:
Apple picking with two of my best friends from high school:
My cousin's daughter's baptism:
This winter I'm planning on going to Germany and France (around December). I'm going to a Samy Deluxe concert up in Hamburg with my friend Felicity, then making my way down to visit my friend Beverly wherever she's staying this winter.
Then I'm heading down to Paris to visit Rachael, the other intern. I also want to see this rock opera since I've been kind of obsessed for about three months now:
October 3 I'm seeing Infected Mushroom, the 13 (I think) I'm seeing Emilie Autumn, and whenever Miyavi winds up in NY, I'll be going to see him. Probably the end of October.
I set up a music blog over here: http://spieldose.wordpress.com/.
My favorite thing EVER was sending Martin those questions for the interview, and I feel really flattered that he let me do it. HOWEVER I would love, love, love to have more people give me interviews, so if you know anyone involved in the music industry that would be willing to or would be interested in having their name in writing somewhere (small though my blog is) I would love it.
I'd also love to get into entertainment journalism of some sort, and having this blog that I can direct people to in order to see that I can write at least halfway coherently would be really great.
