PUBES ON THE BRAIN
I was looking at my Faves list (as you do), and realised there is a theme developing. A furry theme. It seems that I am a pubes man. Out of my top ten, seven are members of the Tufty Club (this is a British joke - you'll have to look it up...add 'road safety' if you can't find it straight away), and the delightful Boomie seems to be joining the gang, judging by the pics on her recent blogs (she also does the most wonderful, arty sets which are well worth checking out).
My all-time favourite SG, Bushka, lists one of her hobbies as 'tending her lady garden'.........................................................................................................sorry, my mind just drifted there.
I absolutely adore her, not least because she reminds me of a certain love in my life (for the one of you who will now be thinking, does he mean THAT one, yes I do....the rest of you, I'm afraid, don't get any more details). Not just in the way she looks, which makes me go weak at the knees, quite frankly, but for her wonderful humour and warmth that shines through in her blogs. She has a new set out that you really should check (although my favourite is still The Rock). I guess I also love the fact that she is British, and showing that you don't have to be in your early twenties to be a beautiful SG.
Then there's the wonderfully talented and bookish Hunter, who has far more beauty than is really fair...
...the lithe and soulful Fatality
....Valium, who, with those looks, frankly couldn't be anything but French....
...and my favourite Argentinian, and wonderfully entertaining blogger, Liu....
So, you see, there does seem to be a theme here, doesn't there? Now, maybe it's just familiarity. I have, after all, never slept with a shaven lady. But it does remind me of one of my favourite arty anecdotes. The great Victorian art critic, John Ruskin was married to Effie, who later made off with the painter John Millais. In the divorce proceedings, it came to light that Ruskin had never consummated the marriage. Why? Well, great art critic that he was, his sole experience of the female form, prior to marrying Effie, was through Greco-Roman statuary. Where the women tend to be, well, pubeless.
So.
Picture the scene. The marital bed. Effie slips off her wedding dress, and probably countless petticoats, corsets, garters and various other garments containing whalebones, I suspect. By the time she is standing there naked, old Ruskin must have been frothing at the mouth. So imagine his aghast expression when Effie is revealed to be DEFORMED - she has hair where no hair should be! Or not if all you have to go on is the Venus de Milo. And so, dear friends, Ruskin never popped his cherry.
So I think we all owe it to dear Effie (who found a hirsute lover, evidently, in the shape of Millais) to show a little appreciation to these undeniably beautiful women. Don't you?

By the way, have you ever checked out Lyrical's sets? She's still a hopeful and hasn't done a set for quite a while. She's in the early stages of planning a new set. I'm curious what you think about her previous sets, and what you think of her looks in general. I think she's the most beautiful woman in the world, but i'm very biased.
Another hopeful who I have NO connection to that I really think is exceptional, is Suzee. What do you think of her? I've been on SG since Februaary, 2008 and I still can't figure out what criteria is needed for a set to go live.
Hell I would shave my head if my man would LET me!
