The International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, has its roots in the demonstrations of Russian women for better living and working conditions and against the entry of tsarist Russia into World War I. These manifestations marked the beginning of the Revolution of 1917. However, the idea of celebrating a woman's day had already arisen since the early years of the twentieth century in the United States and Europe in the context of women's struggles for better living and working conditions , as well as the right to vote.
In Western countries, the date has been forgotten for a long time and only recovered by the FEMINIST movement
