Another year, another chance, a new day to take what life throws at you and make it work. It's been a while since my last blog so I'll bring you up yo date. Player 5150 wrapped up mid December and I don't have enough pages to detail the craziness and misadventures of that entire experience, but just before we were to leave for Las Vegas, I got a call from a company I interviewed with months ago called Hammer Creative Advertising. I went in for a second interview and landed a receptionist position. I told Player to kiss off and took the job, well actually I very politely thanked them for the opportunity and told them I wasn't going to Vegas. Anyhoo, shortly thereafter Jason won 4 passes to Disneyland about 5 minutes after I asked him if we could go and he said no, which was very exciting. If I had known that that night was your wish come true night, I might have wished a little higher, but none the less, Disneyland was awesome! Space Mountain and the Indiana Jones ride, hands down, awesome!
Then it was Christmas, funny how damn fast that holiday sneaks up on you. We flew out to my Mom's in NC for a week. And actually survived! Jason dealt with their crazy hijinks with good nature and made it out alive (the first) thats why I'm gonna marry that kid, because he can deal with my crazy mother(coincidentally, he feels the same way!)
All in all, it was a good trip. I was ready to leave by the end but not happy to be going back to LA. I'm still feeling a little displaced. I feel a little more settled in now, but it certainly doesn't feel like home to me. New years was fun but somewhat uneventful. I had a kick ass 80's dress, but didn't really get to dance in it all too much. My heel broke early in the evening on my favorite pair leaving me unbalanced the rest of the night. Disaster........is too mellowdramatic, disappointing, yes. Ah, well they can't all be winners can they. So now its back to work. Boring. This job truely doesn't need a receptionist for any other reason than it looks good and someone to sign for all the UPS and FedEx.I'm going out of my skull with boredum. I have to get another job before i kill myself.
