Lexiphanic: A brief musical intermission
You all know me for the "different" post-rock music I listen to ... Sigur Rs, amiina, Mm ... and that's just the Icelandic stuff.
I like some other stuff, too. For your amusement, Ageless Beauty by Stars.
It is slightly poppy and I can't help but smile when I listen to it. I was lucky enough to see them perform live when they passed through London (I still have the press pass somewhere) and when they played this song it was clear they were having a really great time doing it. And their enjoyment in their own performance of this song that's been infinitely infectious for me ever since.
Otherwise, it's just one of the best pieces of simple guitar rock around.
Next time on Lexiphanic: Your guess is as good as mine!

I knew it wasn't a new idea, but I don't think its been done in any serious way Down Under, has it?
I was wanting to sit you down and have a chat about its pros, cons and overall feasibility. Tomorrow night perhaps?
Edited to add:
Yes! (I subscribed to this, I'll let you know what I hear)
Yes, Yes!!
These are exactly the experience I'm wanting to create!
