And so the great 2.2-year adventure ends.
I've touched down in Australia and have elected to stay with my family on the Gold Coast until I decide what to do next or where to go next. They haven't seen me (nor I, them, naturally) in over two years and they seem quite delighted. I want to be more enthusiastic, but I haven't the energy. I've been running on auto-pilot since Hong Kong and no amount of sleep will cure it.
I'm also worried about some sort of catatonia setting in. With no obligations to anyone or anything in my world, what will become of me?
I'm a creature of change, however, so I suspect that instinct will kick in and I'll be motivated to do something.
Interestingly, I have very few friends here now. None come to mind, in fact. So I have to start again and get some new friends.
Thankfully, meeting people is easy.
