I survived the trans-Siberian train ride.
In fact, I highly recommend it to anyone even vaguely considering it. It's a lot of fun and puts you into a weird dynamic mindset I've not experienced for a long time (if at all). The mix of nothing to do, and yet so many people to meet is wonderful.
"I might talk to that person ... I wonder if they speak English?"
"Gosh it's cold today" followed by "Gosh it's bloody hot this afternoon" in the same day in Mongolia.
And now Beijing. I'm feeling a little lost but pretending otherwise.
In a couple of weeks I'll be back in Australia and trying to catch up with old friends. I'll be living mainly in Surfers Paradise (hometown), but visiting Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne.
Will you be there?
