Yesterday Andrea, my dog walker, called to tell me there was a gas leak at the house and she was taking Tucker with her. I called my landlord, who went to check on the place. Turns out he had been running his car in the garage downstairs (I guess with the door closed) and completely filled the house with fumes. Now I ask you, who runs a car in a closed garage, unless they are trying to kill themselves? And even then, it's a bad way to go and leaves you looking like a clown with flourescent pink cheeks. Thank the goddess that Andrea got Tucker out of there. I think he was probably thrilled, because not only did he get a little high, but he got to go on walks with all the other dogs for the rest of the day and got to hang out at the pet store and eat treats. But just to drive home the severity of the situation, Andrea called this morning to tell me that Oprah had a guy on her show yesterday who left his car running in the garage and accidentally killed his wife and two dogs. Yikes!
