Thanksgiving week. What's everyone's plans?

I'm cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for my girlfriend's family (my family is far far away). It's small, only 5 of us, but still, it is all on me, and this is the first year her grandma isn't doing it, so I feel a little pressure. To that end we're going simple and traditional:

Turkey (haven't decided if to brine it or not yet)
Mashed potatoes
Stuffing
Cranberry sauce (making it myself, not canned)
Green bean casserole
Sweet potato pie with marshmallows on top (I hate the marshmallow stuff, but I am catering to the masses here)
And I have a red and a white wine.

So now all I have to do it cook it all without messing up on Thursday. We'll see how it goes.

In other other news, I have a shoot I am super excited for this coming weekend. Some film noir type shots of a model for posters and web stuff for the Web Series I'm the Head Writer for. Head Writer sounds a lot more official than it is.

My NaNoWriMo is dead in the water at 20,000 words. But I am happy with it. I'll finish the story on my own time and have it polished and prepped and ready to pitch to agents next summer. And then I will take the literary world by storm and be bigger than Twilight!

Well that's the plan anyway.
