After 41 weeks and 1 one day, my bestest friend, Kira, gave birth to a baby boy tonight at 10.16pm. Isaiah James Whittingham, 8lbs 9oz. He's so cute; all pink and tiny. He was so alert and quiet and looking around. It was total luck that my shift (I work on the Labour & Delivery floor at NYGH) completely coincided with her labour. She came in just before my shift started and they moved her out right after it ended. I cried worse than the baby did. Pictures soon to follow, I'm sure.
