I can't believe it's taken me 20 years to get around to seeing 2 cult classics from the 80's. I watched Fletch yesterday on NetFlix and thought it was almost as good as Chevy Chase's other huge hit from that era, Vacation. But today I was really surprised how much I loved Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. Hilarious. I came of age in the 80's but always thought Pee Wee Herman was an annoying character from the little I'd seen of his Playhouse series that was on TV. Plus when PWBA was in the theaters my older sister went to see it and she and her then BF (now husband) walked out of the movie and they both said it was stupid and terrible. I believed them. But man, that shit is funny.
