I'm on the road. Flew out to Cali to spend a carefree week in the sun and I'm zipping up and down the Pacific Highway in my rental car. First I flew into LA and spent a few days with my friend Chris and his wife. We went surfing on Venice Beach.
Then I flew up to San Francisco and rented a car and drove around and took a lot of pictures like this.
Today I'm going to visit Hearst Castle which is to the south of Big Sur and is this big ol' mansion which was designed by architect Julia Morgan between 1919 and 1947 for newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, who died in 1951. It's supposed to be pretty ridic.
Later I will probably drive towards Yosemite and see that for a bit tomorrow before heading back up to San Fran tomorrow and meet up with Chris and his wife plus 2 other friends of mine. We'll hang out there for the weekend and then I'll fly back to NY on sunday.
I have tons of pics on instagram if you want to follow me on there. My username is hervepierreb. Lets be instabuddies!

Wow, that looks like you are having a lot of fun. Very scenic. Where'd you learn to surf anyway? The app is called 8Mm. It is very basic and fun. It has a few filters such as Siena, Noir, 1920s, 80s, 70s, 60s which are easy to use. I just got an app last night called MagiCam, it seems to offer even more effects and filters (50s, 60s, 70s, old film, etc.) but with even more additions like rainbow chromatic, cartoon, and more. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet to see if I like it. If you'd like, I can let you know if it does a good job. Then again...these apps are all so cheap aren't they? There's little buyer's remorse.
