We recently finished the video for the band Wondernaut "It's a disease."


Video production is proving frustrating. I don't have any friends that are experienced so it is a learn as we go, teach ourselves process. I bought 3 computers to edit HD video before finding one that could handle HD. The problem was we also don't know much about computers and we were trying to save money by buying them used online.. We didn't fully understand the system requirements and failed twice before getting a machine that can handle the load.


Additional frustrations revolving around this video: it took 5 months to complete. Every chance we had to film the outside fireworks dance scene, it rained. The original concept had a stripper dancing (everybody loves strippers). problem with that was one of our staff started dating the dancer, then they quit talking, and she never came back to finish the video.


Our intention is to keep the videos cheap and if possible free. This video cost us approximately $700. That is a ball park guess, but it is pretty accurate. Our book keeping efforts also need improvement.
