Well, I finished A Confederacy of Dunces...extremely good but not the kind of book that should be given to someone like me, who obviously has far too much time on their hands, as they will hurtle through it at breakneck speed and be left completely drained and empty afterwards. Ugh...I need to watch some fucking mindless cartoons.
A bit of news I skipped about this weekend: I'm starting to think an old friend of mine is harboring feelings of some unrequited kind ... I have no proof but the evidence is as obvious as the plot to a summer serial on FOX. I went out with him, my sister, and another friend of mine on vacation from London. My sister had her boyfriend pick her up and left early thus relegating me to an evening with the 2 boys, both of whom have the same name. One of which seems to be developing some sort of fixation on me (that doesn't sound quite right but I can't think of any other way to put it) and the other is a boy I was seeing 2 years ago that happens to have a pregnant fiance he spends most of his time cheating on. They got along remarkably well... oh, what a night.
I'm really wishing I had a girlfriend to bring along on these outings so I could make out with her at such awkward moments...
I'll probably regress into more detail later but that book left me devoid of all ambition to write.

and yes. you read it too quickly and are insane
I liked Confederacy of Dunces.. i think i like the circumstances surround the book more than the book itself. But it did stick with me..
I might recommend Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell or Tom Robbins Jitterbug Perfume.. if you like writing styles not just good stories...
