Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.... FALL.
I love September/October/November. I'm completely immersed in the mindset of sweaters, spice-infused candles, warm colors, and cozy rooms. Not to mention that I'm completely distracted by fantastical daydreams about clothes shopping. I think it's probably something that is just built in now, and it comes from from way, way back.
I remember when my sister and I would go to the mall with my mom. She would take us school shopping each year and let us pick out 6 or 7 outfits a piece, complete with new shoes and socks and new little girl panties. We had such a big time scampering through the stores and hopping up and down over the new colors and fabrics. And when we got home, we would carefully try each new outift on once more, then remove all the tags and hang each new piece up in our closets for safe keeping until the first day of school.
Now that I'm older, I still get the same bug when September rolls around. I begin craving new things to wear. There is nothing quite like the feeling of wearing a brand new outfit from the blouse all the way to the shoes. The compliments you get when everyone seems to notice your choices doesn't hurt either. I tend to glow from the inside when I've got something new to wear that looks and fits just right.
I can't wait for the stuff I bought to get here. And I found two pairs of sexy, amazing shoes today that will go with all of it!
YAY!

Cripes, I'm out of that "noticing women" thread. It turned into some kind of postmodern-feminist Bell Hooks/Lacan/Derrida mess. I thought it had some juice to it when I first got in but then ... ugh. I mean, I can do that intellekshul crap, but I'd rather not. They took what you started and turned it into some Current Events kind of garbage.
My point has long since been lost in the mire of overthinking intellectuals. I'm more poetic and a hopeless romantic. My needs as a woman are admittedly complex, but all that stuff that came from my post is overanalytical and, well, intimidating.
