Still waiting for that new mouse to arrive so I can do this from home and not worry about being busted by some bitchy librarian for revealing bits and pieces of yummy girly flesh on the monitor.
Some notable things from another trip to my hometown this week-end:
1) Bad news first. I was supposed to attend a family reunion today, but it was cancelled due to an unforseen health problem with one of my beloved aunts. She recently had a minor heart-attack and was admitted to the hospital last week. X-rays revealed some major artery clogging and she must now undergo double bypass surgery this week. She's pretty distraught and I'm praying to all the gods above that everything goes well. She's 70 years old and still has quite bit of spunk within her. I'm not ready to see her go yet!
2) Attended a lovely patio party at a friend's house last night. Drank red wine, nibbled on cheese balls, then later skipped off to a club down the road where upon entry, I was nearly stampeded by some shirtless roid-case who started a fight and was being tossed out the door just as I was walking in. And this club is supposed to cater to an older, more mature clientele. Right.
3) Had breakfast with another girlfriend today who gave me a belated birthday present. It's about two inches in length, purple, battery operated, and makes lots of noise when nestled into tight, hot places. Can you guess what it is?
4)This week is my last week of co-op. Hard to believe it's already been a month. Decisions, decisions, decisions...where I do begin?
5) Tomorrow afternoon I attend the Curiosa festival in T.O. I absolutely cannot wait to see the Rapture again!!! In the many years I've been listening to the Cure, I've never seen them live. While I'm a bit skeptical about thier current material, I'm really looking forward to seeing them play the songs I grew up listening too. It's gonna rock!
Ok Hip-Cats, I guess that's it for now! I'm gonna go test out the new toy.
