As you all know by know by now, the cinematic paramount sci-fi comedic thriller 'THE MAD SCIENTIST' is up on kickstarter.com and freight.training it's way to our projected budget goal, and we're almost half way there. Alas, the glass is only half.full if it is continuing to have things poured into it, and that's where you come in.
Many of you have gone to kickstarter.com and donated already, and for that we are immensely grateful, but for those of you who haven't, here's a fun way to contribute. If you've already donated, there's an additional bonus for you as well.
The crew and supporters of the feature will be hosting a RAGING AWESOME SUPER-HAPPY-FUN-TIME FUNDRAISER on SATURDAY, JUNE 25th at the Hostess/Becker Studio. There will be a veritable litany of things to make you happy you came, including, but not limited to, live music (Dinner for Wolves & Hey Lover) with special guest, ELVIS and featuring DJ MEEE-OWWW, an auction of Mad Scientist memorabilia, among other valuable treats, Mad Scientist t-shirts and buttons for sale, friends, dancing, and of course, alcohol. All for a small entrance donation, THIS CAN BE YOUR NIGHT!!! Also, if you've already donated to kickstarter, or donate before the night of the fundraiser, you automatically get your name on the VIP guest list and do not have to pay a door cover!
Perhaps you do not have money, time or energy to exert the tiny amount necessary to enjoy this momentous occasion. Clearly, this breaks our hearts, but there are other things you can do to contribute to this cause. Maybe you have friends, or connections to local businesses, who would want to donate something for the auction, in exchange for some form of product placement in the movie, or credit in the end titles, or their very own copy of the finished film, VIP passes to the premiere. Maybe you, or someone you know, works at a printing place and can cut us a deal on posters and fliers. Maybe you own a screen print setup and would be willing to help us out making t.shirts. Maybe you just want to help us set up or tear down the night of the party. Maybe you have some ideas or suggestions of how we could make this event more successful and lucrative.
There are many ways to help out, but I understand that times are tough, and people are busy. At the very least, we would hope that you can come out, show your support, bring your friends, tell some people, jam out to some music, throw back a beverage and have a good time. You can help by doing something as simple as putting the kickstarter link on your social networking page (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1008341264/the-mad-scientist-a-feature-film). Spreading the word is helping too, and it's really easy.
