Are you sure that's not Damon Albarn(Blur) in that last photo on the left?

I like this entry - your windowledge is a cornucopia of ephemera, a trinket trove. You have a smile to die for - how many have you killed so far? tongue biggrin

Since you don't update often I hear about you from reading the now even more famous INDIA's journal. Your mineral water bottle apparently contains the elixir of life and is much sought after - I could do with a swig of that

I suspect you're both out right now celebrating her Green set, she's already in my faves selection just superglued in there now

bok kiss bok

Yes Ali could face-double for Mr.Blur - I shall be interested what he thinks....

CharityshopShopping rules, I am the Meister!! I luv em to bits but do donate good stuff frequently in return, this is recycling at its best. I also do bootsales in non-diabollical weather and have developed excellent technique so that my garage is now a small art gallery

Poo! No need to apologise on response time and all that what I meant was it was nice to hear of you via India's journal. I have little to report on since I'm still fairly sedentary.

I am active and doing more each day but still pretty tender down there blush and when you touch it it feels like someone left a packet of tissues just under the skin. puke Looking at the extent of the scar the surgeon went within an inch of my life wink biggrin

The Tesco delivery was on time, on budget (they give you an estimate to start with and an actual total on delivery) but had about 10 substitutions which were no big deal this time round. So I would use it again if only to buy the really bulky, heavy stuff like veggies, beer, soft drinks, cans and loo rolls etc. It should save tons of effort and petrol.

I listened to part of The Virgin Suicides as you recommended but wimped out on the basis that it was SO depressing. It almost beat This Mortal Coil for me in that respect. I like their stuff but not a whole album at once, there should be a dosage warning. Have you tried them out?

Oh you would laugh if you could see me now, confined to my house with a splitting headache and a huge golf-ball eye which won't open properly. I look like I've been in a very bad fight, my face is all red and swollen and bruised. Apparently the reason my head has felt like it's going to explode for the last few days is due...

Conor Oberst has been in England this week; apparently he played a secret gig in Manchester on Thursday night. I did not know about it, so I did not go. This makes me sad.

Last night I tried to open a bottle of wine but somehow I managed to cockscrew the glass rather than the cork, and I cut my hand. Oops.

I've had a...

Conor Oberst sounds familiar. Maybe because my first name is Conor. lol

yeah, the gig was ace they were really good, the crowd atmosphere was generally pants though, they played all of my favourite songs though, sooo good. did you enjoy it? that reminds me - i have to spend all my money on gig tickets today before i squander it on cheese strings and sherbet straws x

I had the most awful weekend. I am very worried about my boyfriend but I cannot ring him as he has no phone, so all I can do is sit and wait for him to ring me.

On a lighter note, I'm going to see Modest Mouse in Manchester tomorrow with my brother and my friends who I haven't seen in a while.

Yesterday my Mother came to see me and take me food shopping. It was lovely to see her. In Asda I got overexcited about the novelty pasta shapes and bought my sister a "groovy chick" tin. It was really nice to see my Mum, I miss my family an awful lot.

She left at around 3.45 so I just sat and watched TV for an...

I went home on Friday! My Mum had cooked a very nice curry and kept my Dad away from the rice as he always puts too much water in and ruins it; for this I am grateful. After the meal we all sat around listening to Pink Floyd and REM and The Postal Service and actually talked. My family has never been bad at communicating,...

My good friend Kit kindly gave me this account so I thought I would give this whole updating my journal thing a go seeing as though I am incredibly bored and have a bit of free time.

I moved to Leeds last week which has been very overwhelming and strange, but my new room is starting to look a little like home in a funny...
