Hi my sweet cupcakes, I wanted to take a minute to write a blog on body positivity and what that means to me...
Women are taught from a very young age that they should look a certain way, be a certain size, and fit into a certain box called "beauty"...
But let me ask you this, who can define beauty? Each person is beautiful. Beauty is inherent in nature. My journey to body positivity started last year when I joined SuicideGirls. SG taught me to not only accept myself but to LOVE myself. To cherish the body I have and to be confident about all of its squishy bits and pudgy pieces.
SG brought out my confidence, my sexuality, and my passion. After taking a hiatus, I scored my dream job and am now an assistant manager at an amazing restaurant owned by some very cool and pretty popular people.
My hubby, @oldfashionedgent, commented that the difference in my confidence is huge. i am finally confident in my sexiness. I *feel* sexy. For the first time in a long time. Thank you babe, for helping me find myself again and for telling me to join this community.
I want to remind all the women here that they are stunning, that size does not determine beauty. That scars do not make you ugly. Thick thighs save lives (and tons of lost French fries) 😘😻😻
Thank you @rambo and @missy for pouring your hearts into this magical place. You have helped so many more people than you could ever know. Thank you for helping me bring my sexy back.
All my love,
Lemon 🍋
