My weeks in Montreal seem to consist of long periods of emptiness (which is fine, I explore, I read, I write) and then brief periods crammed full of copious amounts of joking, drinking, and fun.
Some of the recently fun periods include - cooking dinner for Wolfmystique and Zak, I made penne al dente with a white wine gruyere sauce & prosciutto.. it was very delicious. We then proceeded to watch Eddie Izzard's ever-brilliant "Dress to Kill." We also crammed our bellies full of junk food & chocolate. Although some people are more addicted to candy than others. Then there was much talk of sex, people, and the hermeneutics of various modern ontological treatises. I also introduced them to the tongue- satisfying delights of boursin. Oh and Peeled, you'd better watch out - you have some serious adventures in store starting July 1st. Hahahaha. Don't worry though... too much.
Yesterday when I was hanging out in my favorite internet cafe on St. Laurent (from which I currently write) I spotted a member from the now-defunct band the Unicorns, who went on to tell a friend of his about some cute girl he ran into and now he was trying to track her down on myspace or something.
Later on Eli came and met me for coffee and regaled me with tales of her recent exploits, with her new job she truly has the fists of a pugilist - and a spirit to match. Ever gracious, she invited me over for a tasty lunch, and to relive some of my old days in a game of the Super Nintendo version of "the Legend of Zelda." I lent a hand in navigation and procured a few life potions and fairies so that she could destroy the dungeon boss.
Since Drea had invited me to a party later that night, and since I was not feeling terribly ambitious in regards to accomplishing activities in my day, I just stuck around until the party was to occur. It was an hors d'oeuvre party and much fun was had. Drea made a variety of delicious tidbits, Omisan crafted a delightful bacon wrap dish - complete with the requisite toothpicks, and the other things were nice as well. I was favorably compared to Jack Black by two of the evening's guests.. who were also intently quizzing me on the merit & technique of whip-its.
Due to a boast of mine the Trivial Pursuit cards ended up coming out for an impromptu semi-drunken flurried quiz. Drea was the sitting favorite, but myself and iaNeil equaled her powers leaving no one in a state of shame. Although Drea did get slightly belligerent in terms of her guests' spoken grammar.
Now I'm indulging in another of my fallow periods, just waiting for a sudden Starburst commercial style explosion of sweet fruity activity to pop up again.
I just realized that I've been called "Lemon" "Lemons" or "Lemonkid" about as often as my real name since I've been in Montreal. It's seeming to really stick as a nickname.
ps. I've invented a new word, again.
excrecitment - def. so gung-ho excited about something that you could nearly shit yourself.

Mine are pretty dull. Are you going for beers tomorrow?
