Lazy days.. are good days.
I woke up this morning to find my squash game cancelled.. which allowed me to mill about, read, and listen to some music.
Then I went up to school to go see a Series of Unfortunate Events with Malloreigh at my work. The film was spectacular in all ways.. acting, direction, and art design were all fantastic. The best closing credits I've seen in recent memory too. Since I helped out during the rush (Mal was slightly late) it means I'll get paid 2 hours for it too.
Hit downtown, decided against pants shopping, picked up some cash owed me, browsed bookstores, double checked the Vancouver venue for the Antony & the Johnsons show tomorrow (also getting to see Posh and d20), and browsed at hats. Narrowly avoided buying an authentic French legion hat (still might pick it up in a few days).. but I did hit the comic store. I've never actually bought a comic in series while it was running, except for Morrison's Seaguy series. So I picked up the first issues of Morrison's new Seven Soldier mega-series and his other work based in Indian myth VIMANARAMA!. Read both this afternoon. They both look like they're going to shape up to be excellent. Look forward to reading them over the next year.
I think I've went back to a larvae stage ever since my hideously mind-numbing and depressing move that happened in November. I realize I kind of had retreated back into the womb, so to speak, shunning most connections, and trying to recover. Now I'm back.. although still not totally social.. the big birth will be the May move to Montreal.
Been exercising a lot, playing a lot of squash, (I fear I'm getting some kind of undeserved reputation), and I'm going to start riding my bike to school too. Eating habits have improved. I'm pretty much back 100%, if a little wiser. It must be all the psychology books I've been reading.
Apparently all my co-workers think I'm a player, I recently found out. I find this interesting.
So that's all just a friendly update.
You can call me Tide, because I'm new & improved.
And I'll make your colours brighter.
