Hey kids! Don't you LOVE receiving letters? I know I don't. Real names have been omitted. Errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation have been left the way they were.
lemonkid,
there's something I've been meaning to discuss with you for about a week now, but with both of us coming and going all the time, the appropriate time just hasn't come up. therefore i've decided to write it out, and if you feel that further discussion is necessary after reading this, we can do that.
basically, i've come to feel that we're not really compatible as roomates. there are a number of reasons why i feel this way, but the greatest reason is that logistically, the apartment doesn't lend itself well to co-ed living. short of building an actual wall in the living room, i don't see this problem disappearing, and as i value my comfort and privacy, i feel i would prefer a female roomate.
the second greatest reason is the issue of my being vegan and you eating meat. while i know that i didn't foresee this being a problem, it has become one. i guess it's been so long since i've lived with anyone who ate meat that i didn't realize how much it would affect me. i've come to realize over the last couple of weeks that it does affect me a lot, and that i would prefer to live with someone who is at the very least vegetarian.
there are other reasons, more to do with our particular personalities not being compatible, but i don't see any reason to go into these as the reasons i've given above seem sufficient enough to me to ask that you find other living arrangements. i've spoken to [traitorous mutual friend that recommended I move in with her in the first place] about my concerns, and as she is experiencing a similar situation with her roomate, we've decided she's to move in with me. in order to be fair, we've decided not to do this until december first, giving both you and her roomate ample time to find new situations. if you find a new place before that time, i just ask that you give me enough notice so that i can tell [traitorous ex-friend] and she can move in earlier.
of course, if you want to talk about this further, we can. just understand that this is my final decision, and it's pretty much non-negotiable. if there are other things you want to discuss, we can do that whenever we next have the chance.

#1 - she pressed me to move in
#2 - I repeatedly asked if the small living situation and meat eating would be a problem - she always answered "no, not at all."
#3 - I've cooked meat there a total of 3 times, only once of those three was she at home.
#4 - Since you're the uncomfortable liar, why must I move?
#5 - If quarters are too cramped, why is someone else moving in?
#6 - You can't have the courage to talk to me in person you must resort to a shitty letter?
#7 - We can talk about it, but it's your final, non-negotiable decision? What?
#8 - You haven't complained about a single thing or mentioned a single problem the entire time I've been there. When I've specifically asked (pre-emptively) if there's been a problem you've emphatically answered - "no."
HATEHATEHATE.
So yeah.
I have evil plans.
I've got to go get a drink.
