This is madness.. in all directions.
So I'm running off to my incredibly tedious Contemporary Moral Problems class this morning and I scoop up the mail. 3 things for my roommate, 1 for me - a letter from the film school to whom I got a scholarship to go to a course in during the end of this month.
I expect it to be a registration package, but instead it's a letter. The letter is saying they're willing to offer me a full scholarship to their (notoriously good) month-long independent media producers program. I really want to do this so much that I could die. I have to get into film soon or it's going to kill me.
What's the problem you say kiddo? Take the money and run all the way to film school!
Well the problem is I'm already in university and have this degree that I'm dying to complete. One more academic year, and all the credits are pretty much essential for me to graduate. But of course the month long time in film school is smack right inside the middle of fall semester. I mean mid-Sept. to mid. Oct.
So as I figure it my options are:
a) Take the scholarship.. not finish university until the end of 2005. (which would drive me insane)
b) Don't take the scholarship, chalk it up to lost chances, finish the degree, and get on with life.
c) Try to figure out a way that I can miss over a month of school and still pass all my fall courses.
d) something else clever that I haven't thought of
Advice welcome.
