Darlings - so many theme parties (thanksDeckwreck) so little time~!
I did a stint of drinking every night (from moderate to heavy) for a whole week.. there was a potluck party, an SG party, a pie party, and an art party. I could have went to a falafel party and a Prom party to make it 9 days, but I did one better than God by resting on the 8th day.
For the pie party I opened up my handy French Laundry Cookbook and delivered to my friends a tasty Lemon Sabayon-Pine Nut Tarte with Honeyed Mascarpone Cream. It was essentially the dessert version of my mojo, eaten by the masses.
Been really busy with school - History of Photography, History of Art in Film, and Body Doubles. As well as work, volunteer stuff, and the usual.
My girlfriend and I went to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night.. fantastic film all around. This morning I watched the Fancke version of "the Holy Mountain" starring Leni Riefenstahl. I'm going to reference this film somewhat in a film I'm planning on making in August I think. I'm getting more dedicated again and the writing and cooking will commence again. (I had steak & eggs for breakfast this morning).
Now I just have to fit in time for marital arts, trumpet lessons, and general art-making somehow and it'll all be fine and dandy. We'll see how it goes.
Yep.
How are you?
