I don't have any single friends in Montreal anymore, it seems, and it's getting on my nerves. Not that my becoupled friends are doing anything remotely obnoxious, but a different vibe definitely permeates.
That said in the past 5 days I've been to 2 concerts, 2 birthday parties, 1 world cup final match, 3 afterparties, tonight I'm going to see Noel Fielding's standup (of the Mighty Boosh fame), and Saturday I'm volunteering at a street fest, going to roller derby and The Gories.
I'm eating well - organic falafel and salads. I'm riding my bike around town. I'm job hunting and trying to write. I'm enjoying the good company of friends (from SG and elsewhere), whether it be getting soaked in the street or winning beer in bar bets.
It's all amazing stuff, but it just feels a little empty to me now, like there's some kind of core to things that I'm missing out on. Just a feeling, I dunno. The structure of my walk on the Camino is done, so I've got to reassemble my shit, getting my mojo risin'... don't worry though, I'm still the life of the party.

I feel a lot of people are jaded around me and just don't go out anymore. Let's fight the apathy.
