Geeking out.
One of my goals this year is to set up some side streams of income, additional passive income as well as doing side work to earn extra cash. Reading a lot of Tim Ferriss and Ramit Sethi on the subject, there's lots of interesting things to consider and learn. I can see all your eyes glazing over now.
A long-term goal of mine, that I'm working towards is location independence, making enough income, in a variety of ways, likely, that I can move around, live a few months here and there as I'd like. It's fun to start working towards goals, brewing ideas, etc.
Otherwise I'm hitting the gym pretty regularly (it's funny how a mental hangup can be cured by a little action), planning for Camino to Santiago, Bloomsday in Dublin (listening to the Ulysses audiobook at the gym!), and trying to get some writing done as well. My podcast has stalled, so in my spare time (I'm also teaching English on the side, haha) I should try to get that done. Although they do say it's the busy man who gets things done.
Shanghai was alright, had some good food, did some light shopping, mostly was working on passport related stuff (mine expires in May - need to get a new one), did manage to get to the Shanghai Propagandha Art Museum, which I've wanted to see. I'm still uploading to Flickr - maybe I'll get some photos up in my next entry.
