I'm axeing the friends list a bit.. there's some people on there that I just never speak to.. no offense.

Well well well.
How can I summarize the last 48 hours?
The ferries were back in black so Ophelia and I went over to VanCity for the fabulouso SG event. First we went to my fav. restaurant in all of Vancouver as we were STARVING.. Gypsy Rose's on 4th.
Then I pulled her into the vortex of my music obsession and went browsing at Zulu Records.. ended up picking up Esquivel, 2 Arvo Part cds, and Gynomite: Fearless Feminist Porn. Luckily she dragged me off before I spent my last penny.
Then I browsed around downtown, located the last two issues of "the Wire" magazine which I'd been unable to find here. Then I went to the amazing Vancouver Public Library, which looks like some kind of Roman coliseum.. unfortunately while I was commenting here on our own lady SG.. the library got evacuated for some reason.
So I wandered around some more.. ran into my old friend Rhiannon, then went to the SG Vancouver event. So many fabulous people.. such good times. The food was great as well. Nice meeting a lot of people from SG Seattle and Vancouver. (esp. DreamMaker, Roxy, MisterSatan, Nina (and her extremely knowledgable music friend Cathy!), Posh, Topbanana, Angelvanilla, Hellkitten, Jailbait, and a bunch of people I'm forgetting and for which I apologize. A cool present from Fenris as well.
So that was all great.. we checked out some bands at the Brickyard too. I also ran into my friends Luke & Adam.. and my cousin Mitch. Weird. An action packed night.
Crashed at Topbanana's (thanks!) and caught the bus/ferry home with Ophelia, who I'm really enjoying spending time with recently. (yay!)
Got back into town.. came home.. went to work.. and proceeded to sneak out of work for booze and food at the two simultaneous X-mas parties which were occurring for both my workplaces. Now I'm pleasantly buzzed and pleasant as I write this entry.
Such greatness! Can't wait for all the pics to go up from all those crazy kids w/ digital cameras.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

As a graphic designer there is a draw in how he was able to do commercial art in his time period. The fact that he was little this man hanging out in dance halls and brothels is more interesting to me
