I just turned on Leonard Cohen's "Live in London" album.. fantastic. Reminds me of seeing him live in Montreal .. just, wow. Hearing these excellent live versions on record is fantastic.
It also made me realize something else - almost all of my favorite live shows I've seen I went alone. I'm a very social person, but I don't mind going it alone if it's something I really care about.
Leonard Cohen, Bjork, Diamanda Galas, Antony & the Johnsons, the Melvins, John Zorn, Einstrzende Neubauten, Bob Dylan, Rocket from the Tombs, Pere Ubu, Cody Chesnutt, Billy Childish, Deerhoof, Howe Gelb, Dinosaur Jr., Acid Mothers' Temple.
Although I guess I did go with people to Yo La Tengo, Keiji Haino, Amy Denio, the Dirtbombs, the Hidden Cameras, David Byrne, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, A. Silver Mt. Zion, and Yelle with people, so who knows.
Really feel like eating a sandwich and seeing a decent concert.

Well, if anyone wants to get me a pricey gift, I might get to see Cohen yet, hahaha.
