I love surprises, or as a self-help guru might correct me - I love the surprises I want.
If you don't know me very well you might not know that I love William S. Burroughs to tears and have since I was a teen. Burroughs accurately paints my mental world better than pretty much any other author out there. Consequently, I've read everything he's ever written and know his work/career inside and out.
Sometimes though, there's something you didn't hear about.. surprise! Richard Metzger founder of Disinfo.com has been blogging on Boing Boing this week and reveals these -
A graphic novel type work that Burroughs and illustrator Malcolm McNeill were working on (but was never published) during Burroughs' lifetime - the text of which being Burroughs' "Ah Pook is Here."
Hope you enjoy them as much I have.

"Question: If control's control is absolute, why does control need to control?"
"Answer: Control needs time."
"Question: Is control controlled by its need to control?"
"Answer: Yes."
"Why does control need humans, as you call them?"
"Wait! Wait! Time, a landing field. Death needs time like a junkie needs junk."
"And what does death need time for?"
"The answer is so simple: Death needs time for what it kills to grow in, for Ah Pook's sake."
"Death needs time for what it kills to grow in, for Ah Pook's sweet sake, you stupid vulgar greedy ugly American death-sucker."

Yeah, I left about 1am-ish and couldn't find you to say goodbye. I figured you were on a roll and doing fine though.
