Bite Size Journal:
Lotus came and visited with a friend and we went to a Bollywood Bike-in and caught a long 70s Bollywood classic and danced the night away til dawn. I heard the worst pick-up lines ever used on my roommates cute blond 19 year old friends.
I took a 2 day weekend course in Swedish massage, which was super fun. I've been such a brainiac my whole life I'm getting more and more into making the most of my physical environs. And receiving a 4 handed gleuteus massage from pretty masseuses in waiting is one of life's finer pleasures.
I've been to a number of parties - chez Miamaze on the rooftop with an incredible view and where I ate a heroic amount of pot brownies. Dasha & Kali were there I believe - as well as the roof ladder of death! Also the standard Montreal loft parties the hipster/art/musician/filmmaker/dj crowd - picking up French girls, bringing them to other cool parties, abadoning them when they get boring, (never mistake me for a gentleman!) and catching up with old pals. Otherwise I've been hitting up Little Italy bars and restaurants (gnocchi mmmmm) and getting propositioned for threesomes in the Mussolini church and being told me standards are too high. Fun times.
I'm going to be going to Paris in the fall, which I've always, always, always wanted to do. (Llona you should come).
I've been reading a variety of books which are improving my dinner conversation - rubbing cocaine on the tip of one's penis as a form of aphrodisiac (thanks Errol Flynn's biography!) to knowing why people order different things at restaurants on impulse even when what they really want is the same as what someone else is having (thanks Stumbling on Happiness!). Mostly I've been reading "the Wild Trees" which is making my very nostalgic for Vancouver Island, the mists, and the beaches and the rainforests. And the Eggs Benedict. (why is a good eggs benedict simply IMPOSSIBLE to find in this city).
So that's life in the big city.
