I can see why my ex-girlfriend and all her friends have online diaries.. it's kind of a nice way to wipe all the detritus from your brian. brain. or brian if it's a brain .. i mean brain.. i mean brian you have.
Confusing. But I could definately get addicted to this whole diary thing. Don't have many comments yet, being a newbie an all.
I talked to my cousin today. He's such a nice, quiet, unassuming guy, who's good looking in that tradition "man" kind of way. Way cool. Not that I want to sound like I have the hots for my cousin or anything. It's weird when you realize that someone is just a really nice guy. He's a pilot so I gets me free flights to VanCity. Groovyness.
Today... I skipped my boring phil. class (I'm skipping all of next week too!) and ate a nice breakfast. Then I went up to the university radio station anyways to go see if my copy of Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz was up there. Which it was.. only Laura who's a great jazz host brought it home because she thought it might be hers. (I left it there weeks + weeks ago) Now I must get it back.
Excitement! The bookstore I work at (one day a week.. still need a job) is going to get an order in from Marginal and AK Press soon and all sorts of sweet new books and special orders will come in. So much to read. I'm in the middle of so many books right now.. and have so much schoolwork catch up to do. (damn those roommates who go insane on you! [one did in the previous house i lived in causing me to have to defer everything])
Hopefully my loan for summer studies will be in once I get back from Winnipeg.
Robert (bookstore bossman) and I went out for beer today which was nice, especially because he was buying. Mmmm. Sleeman's Honey Pale Ale. Mmmm fresh pepperoni from the Polish deli right next door. Mmmm. Maybe I'll make some tacos when I'm done this. [I'm editing this and I didn't end up having crackers.. we're having guests so its too late to cook so I'm having stoned wheat thins instead.. i'm sure you're enthralled]
I'm jealous .. my roommate Fiona is eating tonight at the Sooke Harbour House! Consummate foodie that I am I can't help but be jealous.. it's one of the best restaurants in Canada, and North America too! She knows the owner and the chef though so maybe I'll get to meet them sometime.
My roommates and I had fun last night playing guitars and singing songs. It's nice to just be hanging out in the evening and do that shit. What I wanted in my last place, but was unable to receive.
I've started Mishima's "Temple of the Golden Pavilion" and its super-brilliant. God I love Mishima, Yukio. (the Japanese way to say it by the by).
Oooh. I want money to order cool books and cds! Ack.
So many things to do and here I am writing in [and now editing] the journal. It's fun though. Made some fun posts today. .. lovin' the Suicidegirls. Much higher interesting person per capita than anyother site I've seen.. including friendster.com.. which is pretty cool by the way.
Should go now.. thinking of times when I have money, this clogged up school stuff is behind me, and I have people to kiss.. which feels like never. Mmm.
Yo La Tengo are coming to my radio station and I'm going to miss it due to the Winnipeg trip! I'll post pictures if my friend Kate gets any. Normally I'd interview them.. but .. I won't be there. Dammit Janet.
Back to Jack Nitzsche's soothing "I'll Bet She Knew It All Along". [and now back to soothing Johnny Thunders]
