I love big poofy dresses. I love ruffles and lace and feathers and pretty much anything pink. I have a closet stocked full of t-shirts with kittens on them. I’m an unapologetically “feminine” person - meaning I love things that are cute and adorable and most often associated with women.
But here’s the thing - my femininity does not make me any less tough than anyone else!!! Here’s a lil Lemon FF Fun Fact: I was a competitive fencer for years! I’ve always struggled with anxiety and the most effective way for me to combat that struggle is learning how to defend myself - whether through my extremely badass sword-fighting skills, lots of Krav Maga lessons, or my love for knife throwing (as pictured)!
My femininity does not make me any less intelligent, either!! Despite my struggles with mental health, I’ve got a darn good brain. I joined MENSA at age 10. I am an absolutely voracious reader and a super quick learner. Our society so often judges the whole of a woman based on her physical appearance - and I refuse to be seen as a less strong or capable human being just because I happen to prefer the frillier, rosier side of life!
You can be more than one thing. You can be smart and strong and still covered in hot pink glitter from head to toe, no matter what society thinks!! No one’s putting this girly girl in a box (and if they try, I will sword fight them and I will win)
