By this point, I think we all know that Instagram loooves to (unfairly) censor us. It can be pretty infuriating, especially because so many of the lovely models in the SG community use social media to advertise their work and make a living.
It's been brought to my attention that several model accounts were removed yesterday, and even more "violations" were issued. The removals seem to come in waves, so I wanted to give everyone a little heads up to be extra careful with your posts over the next few weeks!
Instagram considers "implied nudity" to be a violation of its guidelines - meaning that any post without visible clothing is subject to removal. This also includes nude photos censored with stickers or images, hand bras, or even sheer lingerie.
Additionally, having NSFW links in your bio (such as OnlyFans) can result in deletion or a shadow-ban. I highly recommend creating an ALLMYLINKS page and keeping that in your bio as opposed to a direct link to your NSFW content!
I definitely recommend taking these things into consideration over the next few weeks, as Instagram seems to be taking down a lot of profiles! Twitter is also a great option for self-promo as their guidelines are much less strict (/ridiculous). Also, don't forget to update the social media links on your SG profile so that staff and members can easily find you!
