BOO!
This poor account has been abandoned. Ive signed in many times thinking yep ok i'll write something. Then I get distracted, or disheartened, or both and it doesn't happen. So here I go again, maybe this time i'll actually hit "add blog" we'll see.
WHAT"S BEEN HAPPENING??
Guess I should say Merry Christmas and all that shit. Hope it was merry yardi-yar. It's nearly Easter, so I'll say Happy Easter now, as it could be Christmas before you hear from me again
So I moved to a different city. I moved one whole hour south, to the coast. I used to live here awhile ago, a nine year stint. After that interesting/destructive/joyous/blurry time I thought "I gotta get out of here and I dont think I should come back". But here I am 6 years later and I must say I'm preferring it to the city. It's only a temporary move until we build our house in the mountains. So here we are, 20th floor highrise over looking the ocean and guess what!? I can see a rollercoaster from my bed
Work (boring bit)
So i quit my job before I left and have enjoyed being a lady of leisure for the past few months, just creating stuff. Monsters, paintings, jewelry. I did a resin course so now I can make all the things I spend too much money on. Plus it's more fun to create it yourself.
Workwise I'm not sure what I want to do. The rat race of life is such a turn off, I think I'd like to just be a hippie and float along, have a bunch of animals and sing Coombyar in the backyard around a fire Actually I'm considering volunteering at a Willdlife Park down here, get back into working with animals.
Fun Stuff
I've got right into playing the PS3. I have a Wii, but I've recently realised that the Playstation is way cooler with way cooler games. If someone could invent a video game just for me, this would be it. The soundtrack is fucking awesome!!
I've also completed BioShock and am halfway through BioShock 2. This game is so psychotic it's brilliant!
I guess after that will be Heavy Rain. I'm officially becoming a gamer nerd
I'm reeeeally hanging out for when American McGee releases "ALICE" next year. Did anyone play the PC game? I'm terrible at PC games, but I finished it and really enjoyed it.
Speaking of Alice, I finally went and saw it in 3D this weekend with a bunch of my closest friends. It was so breathtaking to look at. The dark twisted trees and the vibrant colours. The headspace we were all in It was worth waiting for. I especially liked how they portrayed the Cheshire Cat and the March Hare. Saw it again in 2D last night. I think it's better that way. Or maybe it was just a better screen. Either way, it was enjoyable.
Health
I've been ill. So many fucking migraines. That's all I'm going to say about that, cause it's shit and I'd rather discuss fun happenings.
Music
Since I last spoke to you I've been to a couple of gigs. Went to Soundwave. Faith No More were incredible, as were Jane's Addiction. I got put on the door at Prodigy the other week. I've never EVER seen a lighting show like that in my life. They had an entire strobe wall behind them. It was blinding. You'd look away and you'd have a billion squares burnt into your eyes. Violent and intense. Great show.
I'm going to Pixies tomorrow night and bought my Cult ticket the other day
TV
I'd got quite into Carnivale. Shame it was only 2 seasons long. But what a great 2 seasons they were!!
Travel
Went to Tassie earlier in the year. If you haven't been, go. It's a little paradise down there. Truly, what a great state! Tony was doing his Maratime studies, whilst I hired a car and drove as much of the state as I possibly could. Sometimes I wish I was permanently on the road moving around. I just love it. This year we'll be heading off to Japan for our Honeymoon. Other than that I think it's just mini trips to places like Straddie. Oh and I'm going to Melbourne with my best friend in June So that should keep me happy. I don't like being in the one place for too long
For anyone who wants to know, the wedding planning is going super. Most things are organised and we are both hell bent on not being stressed. My dress is going to be kick arse and the shoes are, um......BRIGHT I'd show you a photo but I'd then be ruining the suprise for Boombambi, so you'll just have to wait.
There really is much more to tell you but I think I'll leave it there. I'm not sure who is around here anymore. It seems like a pretty big place here now. I hope everyone is yay and dandy
