I'm becoming more and more discouraged about continuing my search for a job in the arts. I gotta tell ya...it's my fucking passion. There is nothing I would rather do than be a photographer. I've sent resume after resume and no one is getting back to me. I've invested over 10 years in schooling for this passion and I'm not willing to quit. This economy blows and the arts are suffering because of it. I neeeeed a job. My boss just laid me off because her photo studio is going out of business. Friends of mine are having problems holding on to their jobs as well. Anyway...I'm feeling discouraged and felt like venting. I'm trying to get a website together and have recently been editing old files I've never used for anything. Let me know what you guys think ...if you don't mind.
Here is a before and after pic of my friend Joie that I recently worked on....

p.s. not to whore myself out...but ya gotta do what ya gotta do I guess...If anyone knows of anyone who needs a photographer or photo-retoucher in NYC. Please let me know....I'm a hard worker and loyal....and a lot of fun.
Thanks...
pps..here are some pics of me that I recently worked on as well....

The work on your friend Joie is brilliant; very nice work. You are in for a long hoe in a hard row, though---photography is a very difficult profession to earn one's living at, worse probably than writing or theatre. I do feel a website is the way to go in these times, and it will give you what is so difficult to get otherwise---people looking at your photographs.
