Today.
Couldn't sleep, so I lay thinking about various things for a while
Started thinking about a girl I was interested in at home before I left for Sweden. Decided that as I had texted her a couple of times without a reply it was a dead-end.
One of my friends in Phoenix is coming over to England next week and I began wondering if there was anything I wanted from AZ. I decided there wasn't, seeing as I've only just come back, and it'd be rude to ask anyway. Thought it was quite weird I'd even considered it.
Eventually I switched SIM cards in my mobile so I could check my messages on my British network.
First message was from the girl I liked in England, apologising for not replying sooner and saying she's gonna be around when I'm home for Easter.
Second message was from my friend in Phoenix, asking if I wanted anything from AZ. Very weird.
Got up in the morning, decided not to go to my Italian oral class, forfeiting the course because I've missed 3 of the 10 classes now. Not bothered. It counts for nothing.
Had lunch and checked my mail. Got an essay back from my home university. Wasn't expecting a good grade and had even told myself on the way back from AZ that if I got less than a 2.1 (an ok grade), I'd probably pack up my bags and head home.
Was stunned to discover I'd actually done better than normal and had got a high 2.1 and even a 1st in one section. Feeling a little bit more optimistic about being here now and a lot more inclined to stick it out until June.
In spite of this, I still booked tickets to come home early so I can see my friend from Phoenix and not meet my lecturer who is visiting students studying in Sweden this semester. My lecturer and I are quite good friends and I'm a little annoyed I won't get to see her, but my friend is flying 10 hours to England for the week- I'm gonna make sure I get to see her. That and tickets to fly home were getting seriously expensive- I had to come home early to get a decent price.
So there you go.
Weird coincidences
