The morning my ex gf's mum died, I drew my curtains and saw black birds sitting in the tree at the end of the garden. As soon as I saw them, I was troubled by them, and was worried for most of the day until my ex called me with the bad news.
Before that, I wouldn't have said I was superstitious in that way. In fact, I would've almost put it down as a one off, freak occcurence had I not been seeing black birds everywhere for the last couple of months. Not just in London, but on the way north to my old college town and even over in Seattle and Vancouver. It's freaked me out for a good while and it didn't help that things have been tough for a while too. Made me wonder what else would go wrong.
Then yesterday evening I saw a plain white bird land in the middle of the road in front of my car. It stood out in the sky before it even came down and then landed right in front of my car so I swerved to avoid it. Couldn't miss seeing that one. Somehow I felt like that one bird was a sign that whatever the black birds were about is now done with.
I can only hope so.
Just so you know, I'm not mental or anything....(!)
