The idea to move to NC is gathering weight.
I currently have no money and I'm kinda stuck in London for the time being, but the idea is to get a (new) job, get some money and then by the time I have enough to live in NC for a few months, I should have dispensed with my commitments in London. Mrs. Lego seems happy with this, too.
Several perks come out of living in NC-- the 90 day visa-waiver period is a nice, solid amount of time with Mrs. Lego, I get to look for a job from a sensible distance, and I get to finally enact a plan I've had since I graduated to live in another country for a while, all with low commitment. Oh, and it saves her trying to negotiate the disparity between our economies for a year...
Just need to find a job. My temp job is being made permanent again, so I have to make a decision soon. If I apply for it, I'm almost guaranteed to get it, but the money's not great. If I look elsewhere, I might get better money, but by the time I land anything, I might as well have stayed in the same place, financially. I think I'm going to stay where I am if I can. It will probably look better on my CV if nothing else...
