I can hardly believe it's been 2 weeks since I was in NC. Less than that, in fact. A watched pot never boils, I suppose.
Looks like my job is FINALLY going to finish at the end of this month, about 9 months after I thought it would finish. I'm quite looking forward to finishing and then starting to look for something else. Besides anything else, by the time I get home from work, I never have the energy to whore myself to the HR establishment, so hopefully the free time that unemployment provides will give me a little more enthusiasm for the exercise.
My dad seems quite keen on me finding a job before this one finishes, but I keep rejecting anything he suggests purely on the grounds that it was him that suggested it. Not because I'm a brat, though. I genuinely would like him to come up with something I'd like to do, but it's something about the pressure I feel when he does suggest something completely turns me off the job. It's quite unpleasant. The solution, unfortunately, is to get out there and find my own job. Just wish I knew what I want to do. Hell, it'd be nice to know WHERE too... Mrs. Lego wants me to look for jobs in NC, but we've only been together for 2 months and she wants to come over here anyway.
Time to check the employment sites again.
