Another lazy sunday afternoon. I can't seem to stop myself from waking up any earlier than 1pm. Which presents a problem, since I have a 9AM meeting tomorrow morning. Well, things will just have to work themselves out, I guess.
I have finally conquered mount laundry. Feeling a bit like sir Edmund Hillary, in the last clothes of desperation, the only clean ones left, I boldly forced three loads worth of dirty laundry into my basket, and made the dangerous journey across seventh avenue and up carmine street to the laundromat, which was finally open. After wrestling with them for two intense hours, I emerged the victor, now having all three loads clean, dry and folded in my basket, and returned home to reap the rewards of my efforts.
You've got to take some pleasure in the little things.
Last night's SGNY party was fun. It was a little bit awkward at first, showing up a party where I knew no one and everyone else knew each other, but I ended up meeting a bunch of cool people, and had a good time. And I heard someone (who will remain nameless) ruthlessly faking an orgasm in the stairwell, which was highly amusing for all. Big thanks to Skryche and Leah for hosting, they're supercool.
Besides doing laundry today, I went shopping for a new pair of shoes (my chuck taylors have seen better days) and some DVDs in the hopes that I could snag some cheap ones on sale. No luck on either account - but I did figure out the shoes that I wanted and my size, and came home to buy them (and all my dvds) off of the internet. Yay for amazon.com. Even if Jeff Bezos is a jackass.
But tomorrow the fun ends, and work begins again. I'm actually kind of looking forward to it, I've got a handful of interesting experiments lined up for this week, including my triumphant return to the world of electrophysiology. I'll post any cool data that I generate (although to be honest, it's probably more interesting to me than to anyone else here, but no one's forcing you to look at it.)
Hope you all had good weekends...

There is another probe set for Mercury. I don't see the reason for it, but I guess that's why I don't work at NASA.
maybe big cross hatches or something.
