This is my first journal entry, so I'll keep it brief, as I'm likely to have longer, rambling entries in the future.
I've just recently returned from rural Pennsylvania, where I spent my Thanksgiving with my white trash, dysfunctional family, my Republican uncle and my bald, womanizing cousin.
Back to New York city, where things supposedly make sense, only to have the woman who I had plans to go out with suddenly disappear, leaving me by myself for the evening. A long ridre on the 1 line up to a friend's place on 158th led to a less than exciting night spent watching a movie and sharing an overpriced $13 bottle of Belgian beer.

more uplifting, interesting stories to follow, to be sure...
