How many people really meet new people at shows? Seriously it seems like everyone is in their own zone with their significant other or on their iphone and it is not so much of a community unless you are already bff's with the people in the community.
Last night I had a refreshing conversation with a pretty lady whom I bumped in to at the Funhouse about books, places and food. On a whim. Nice change of pace.
Speaking of conversation I just finished a two hour conversation with one of my Moms Singaporean friends about travel and all her experience abroad (Singapore, Thailand, Australia, South Africa.)
Conversation is key to life, friends.

That sounds like a rare and refreshing experience. I need to have a good random conversation with a stranger sometime soon, but alas! I am too shy.

I am kinda shy too but it just sorta happened. If the time is right you don't need to force anything.
